Shrub Pruning & Planting
Shrubs and bushes offer great curb appeal. Trees, flowers a green lawn and well maintained shrubs enhance the look of any architectural structure. If left unattended, shrubs will grow out of control and make your landscape look unkempt. Whether you have flowering shrubs or non flowering, we posses the experience to tend for them. You might as well call us shrub listeners because we talk to them and allow them to tell us what they need most. We’ve all seen shrubs completely butchered by so called landscapers that leave them bare and misshapen. Jake’s Tree Service & Landscaping trims your shrubs to precision, following it’s natural shape.
One of the things that make your shrubs look amazing is when they are level and well sculpted. We will not level them to the point that you can see the skeleton. Our well trained landscapers will follow their natural shape while doing her due diligence to make them visually appealing. Shrubs should be left wider at the base. This allows sunlight to penetrate all the way to the bottom. Gas and electric hedge trimmers can be used upon request. We prefer to use hand shears because your shrubs respond better. We try to balance efficiency with the overall health of your shrubs.
Protecting The Exterior Architecture
Shrubs are a gorgeous addition to any landscape but they can also damage your siding. If you happen to have metal siding on your home or office, you must be conscious of how close the shrubs are allowed to grow. As the branches extend, they can scratch and marr the surface. We make sure to trim the branches within six to twelve inches from your home or office. Our team of landscapers can facilitate this without harming the health of the shrub. These plants require a great deal of water. If they are allowed to grow too close to the building, the water supplied to the shrub will compromise the exterior structure of your building over time.
Removing Life Suckers
You may have people in your life that suck the life out of you. You know this because after a brief or prolonged interaction, you feel completely drained. Human beings have the capability to remove vampires from their life. Once this is done, you can thrive. Shrubs do their best to rid themselves from these life suckers but sometimes they need a little help. Your personal landscaper will be sure to remove dead, diseased and overgrown branches during the pruning process. This service allows shrubs to regenerate and thrive through spring and summer. Planting Beautiful New Shrubs
We can plant new shrubs where there aren’t any. Shrubs will enhance your garden and improve your curb appeal. The first thing we will do is dig a hole to accommodate its root system. In many instances the roots must be scored to loosen them up. Once planted, they will be able to stretch out and firmly plant themselves in the surrounding soil. In the past, it was suggested to add new soil to the plot. Studies have shown that shrubs grow better when planted in the native soil. After covering the shrub with the native soil, we water it to prevent shock. Then we add mulch to help retain moisture.
